A tune book, 1810s-1820s, containing psalm-tunes, anthems and hymn-tunes attributed to various Welsh composers including John Williams, Dolgellau (passim), David Harries, Carno (passim), Hugh Jones, Maesglasau (passim) and others, probably compiled by Thomas Richards (?the younger; his calligraphic signature, 1817, inside front cover). Some items are in the hand of his brother, Lewis Richards (1799-1860) and many annotations in that of his sister, Mair Richards, Darowen. Accompanying words, where present, are in Welsh.

A miscellaneous collection of hymn-tunes, anthems and a few traditional and popular tunes from Wales and elsewhere, perhaps compiled in the mid-nineteenth century and comprising various quires, bifolia and single sheets in a number of hands of the first half of the century, and bearing watermarks between 1817 (ff. 10, 24) and 1845 (f. 93). It includes works attributed to John Williams (f. 13), David Harries, Carno (ff. 14-16, 25 recto-verso, 28 verso-30, 55 verso-8, 62-6 verso) and David Richards ('Dewi Silin') (ff. 17-19 verso, inverted text). Accompanying words, where present, are mainly in Welsh. Also included are memoranda and verse in Welsh (ff. 26 verso-8) and a few annotations by Mair Richards, Darowen (f. 16a).

Also included are notes on runic characters (p. 128), and pasted inside the covers are a printed announcement, 1814, of the second annual meeting of the Merionethshire Auxiliary Bible Society, and a printed note, 1822, from Robert Saunderson, Cambrian Printing Office, Bala, of a proposal to publish extracts from Y Gwyliedydd, under the title Cyfaill y Cymro.

Tune book, first compiled in the late eighteenth century, of the Reverend J. Lloyd, Tal-y-bont, containing psalm-tunes attributed to William Wilson (f. 52), John Williams ('Ioan Rhagfyr', 1740-1821), Dolgellau (ff. 4 verso-6) and others, together with hymn-tunes and anthems, copied between 1790 and 1820, with some accompanying words in English and Welsh. Amongst the tunes is the 'Song of the 3 Holy Children' (f. 46 verso-7). Additions to the original volume include ff. 83-91, written c. 1818-1819 (cf watermark, and f. 89) and ff. 92-7, written c. 1832 (watermark).

They contain hymn-tunes, anthems and psalm-tunes, mainly by John Williams, Dolgellau, with a few tunes by R[ichard] Mills ['Rhydderch Hael'], one by I. R. Ellis, Dolgellau, 1841, and traditional and anonymous tunes; a poem entitled 'Amgylchiadau Marwolaeth Crist', an 'englyn' ('Y Farchnad Ysprydol'), 'englynion' by 'Shion Rhydderch', three hymns ('Mae'r gwaed a redodd ar y Groes', 7 stanzas, and 'Wrth edrych ar y sail', 4 stanzas, 'Ni'm diystyrir gan fy Nuw', 1 stanza), and a recipe for a cough.
