Large scrapbook of historical and literary material comprising notes and transcripts relating to the history of France, 1748-1772, and to Prince Charles, Kevenhuller and Prince Esterhazy, 1743; a list of European rulers and wars fought by Britain between 1739 and 1780; notes and copies of documents relating to the activities and executions of prominent Jacobites, 1745-1752; copies of letters from and to Lord Bath concerning the Shrewsbury election [post-1741]; a poem entitled Arma Virumque Cano on General Hawley 's defeat in Scotland; a list of those who voted against the bill for suspending the Habeas Corpus Act, 1746; notes on the history of Italy; Denbigh election results; and an account in French of Willem Bentinck 's part in the appointment of William IV of Orange as Stadtholder of Holland, 1747.

Notebook, 1749-1777, of Samuel Deykin of Carmarthen, including a journal of his travels to London and Barnsley, March-June 1950; an imaginary journal for 1746, had Charles Edward Stuart acceded to the throne (ff. 11-16); topical verse, miscellaneous notes and memoranda, and religious meditations.

'A History of the Cycle 1710-1869' compiled in 1935 by Nest Lloyd and Susan Mainwaring, recounts the history of 'The Cycle of the White Rose', originally a Welsh Jacobite Club, which was established at Wrexham in 1710 to serve north-east Wales and part of Cheshire. The volumes consist mainly of extracts from the extant minute-books, now designated NLW MSS 14941-2C, supplemented by additional material from other sources. NLW MS 23301C includes a chapter on the Jacobite links of the Williams Wynn family of Wynnstay and an appendix containing details for Cycle meetings kept at Overton, co. Flint, during the period 1760-74 (see NLW MS 14943D); NLW MS 23302C consists of lists of, and notes on, members, illustrated with armorial bearings and engravings of 'Cycle' houses; and NLW MS 23303B includes notes on the Wynnstay Theatre, comprising lists of performances and casts, 1773-87.

Transcripts by J. Hobson Matthews. They include copies of wills, pedigrees, legal and other records, Catholic and Jacobite poetry, etc., mainly of South Wales interest.
