An ivory plaque depicting a wealthy medieval couple, the man with a domestic fowl on his left arm. Two shields with coats of arms are prominently displayed.

A middle-aged lady in a long dress and hat with veil sitting outside on a wicker chair and reading a book on her lap. In front of her is an oval or perhaps round, antique table with a tripod pedestal base, possibly mahogany. Beyond her is an extensive lawn which gives way to a parkland setting.
