Radio talks

This series consists of a number of radio scripts of talks given by Menna Gallie, [c.1958]-[c.1969], on subjects such as her experiences of living in Northern Ireland, of writing her first novel, of being a guide in an old house in Ulster, of her experience of going down a coal mine, various memories of childhood, the writing of Mary Lavin, of her trip to Yugoslavia and experiences of her time spent in America.

This series consists of notebooks full of rough notes, [1940x1990], which appear to be revisions to her novel You're Welcome to Ulster; a draft copy of a speech on her experiences of Northern Ireland; notes about Sicily; summaries of chapters in a book possibly written by herself; plans for the novel Travels With a Duchess; notes on her experiences in New York; notes on wartime memories; a draft on her life experiences and on being a writer; notes written on her holiday in Palermo; notes on 'people to use in her next Welsh novel'; notes for 'a possible Welsh thriller'; and notes on various writers and artists.
