Hereford extracts

Extracts out of the Register Books of the Bishops of Hereford, made by Chancellor Wynne and Hugh Hughes, [mid 18 cent.], including an index of the contents of a supplemental register containing some occurrences in the time of Dr Humphrey Humphreys (pp. 1-8); accounts extracted out of Bishop Humphreys' Register, relating to some schools in the diocese of Hereford, namely Leominster, Ledbury, Chirbury, Presteign, Lushton (pp. 14-46); an account of the Register Books then extant (pp. 47-49); etc.
Items formerly loose within the volume have been either tipped in on blank leaves or bound in at the end of the volume (pp. 63, 114, 116-117, 122-128), including an account, December 1678, of an examination by the Bishop of Hereford and others on behalf of the House of Lords, of a house called Combe in Lanruthall, Herefordshire, which was believed to be a Jesuit College (pp. 125-128).
