Administrative history
The Lampeter Agricultural Society was first established in 1784, with the aim of promoting and improving farming methods, crops and livestock in West Wales. The first agricultural show organized by the Society was held in October 1877.

Donated by the Society per the former President Mr D. T. Davies, 12 Station Terrace, Lampeter, Dyfed in October 1988.

Minute books, 1925-1971; programme for Lampeter Agricultural Society's Centenary, 1987, which contains a brief history of Lampeter Show; xerox copies of press cuttings relating to the Lampeter Agricultural Show, 1877-1886 and of the Catalogue of Entries For Show, 1891.
