Emynau,

A home-made volume, roughly bound in parchment, containing transcripts of hymns and some sermon notes in the hand of David Thomas, Llwynywermwd, Llan-y-crwys, son of the Reverend Zacharias Thomas, Baptist minister, of Aberdyar, etc. The volume was compiled during the period 1805-1806. Among the papers used to compile the manuscript are an agreement, 1790, for the lease, from W. Williams to Zacharias Thomas, of Emlych, parish of Penbrey, co. Carmarthen; a voucher, 1797, to Zacharias Thomas from D. J. Jenkins, Lampeter, for a waistcoat, etc.; and a holograph letter from John Williams, Carmarthen, to Zech. Thomas, 1802 ( the distribution of 'papers' to the Association and the churches). The volume also includes the score of a hymn-tune entitled 'Difyrwch gwyr y Gogledd'.

St. David's Cathedral leases,

A register of leases granted by individual dignitaries of the cathedral church of St. David's of prebends, lands, etc., which were in their possession by virtue of their cathedral preferments.
