A volume in the hand of W. J. Copleston containing transcripts of, or extracts from, sixteen letters from Edward Copleston to members of his family, 1804-1814, and one from Lord Grenville to Edward Copleston, 1809. They relate mainly to a tour of the continent undertaken by Copleston in 1814, and to events at Oxford University during the contest for the Chancellorship in 1809 and the 'Edinburgh Review controversy'. Some of the letters have been published in W. J. Copleston, Memoir of Edward Copleston (London, 1851).
