A part transcript and a part annotated abstract in the hand of J. H. Davies of an indenture of lease, 28 March 1777, for 99 years, from Owen Griffith of the parish of Llanfihangel-y-Traethau, Merionethshire, yeoman, and Owen Owens, his son and heir apparent, to David Jones ('Dafydd SiƓn Siams'), bookbinder, John Jones, yeoman, and Morris Jones, yeoman, all of the parish of Llanfrothen, John Morris, joiner, and Robert Owens, yeoman, both of the parish of Llandecwyn, William Williams of the parish of Llanfihangel-y-Traethau, yeoman, and John Richard of the parish of Ffestiniog, yeoman, of a messuage or dwelling house called Tygwyn, parish of Llanfihangel-y-Traethau, 'upon trust and to the intent that the same may be held and occupied at all times hereafter by some devout person or made use of as a School and a Meeting House for all devout and well disposed persons to assemble and meet together to pray read and hear the Word of God preached taught explained and expounded and to praise His most holy name'.
