Scope and content
A collection of Welsh Grammars of Edern Dafod Aur and Einion Offeiriad; Dwned [Siôn] Brwynog; etc. in the hand of Robert ap Ifan of Bryn Siencyn, 1587. The second part of the manuscript includes copies of indentures (32 Henry VIII, 3 Edward VI and undated); poetry; recipes; arithmetical problems; rules for playing cards; and 'gwehelaethau', most probably in the hand of John Jones, Gellilyfdy, 1599.
The Book of Robert ap Ifan was begun on May 6 1587 and completed on May 22 1587 (pp. 30, 57, 69, 72, 89), and was apparently written in Anglesey.
