Pre-nuptial settlement (covenant to levy a fine) of Roger Davies the younger and 3 of the cap. m. of Dungrey and the demesne lands in the township, hamlets and parishes of Bangor [Is-coed], Worthenbury and Dungrey, co. Flint, comprising 4 m’s, 4 cotts, one pigeon house, 4 gardens, 4 orchards and lands (315a.) to 2 in trust as follows: the cap. m. of Dungrey and its demesne lands for Roger Davies the younger and Elizabeth for life, barring dower; the parcels of land called Tir yr Eglwys, Cae Cropper, the Great Bryn, the Middle Bryn, Tir Davy,Cae’r Perber, Cae Amber, Staniell Coed, Cae’r Weirglodd, the mixed land in Mr Lloyd’s row, the mixed land in Thomas Clerke’s tenement, a tmt in the tenure of John ap William, a m. called the Clearke’s House in p. Bangor [Is-coed] and a m. in the occupation of Roger James for the life of Roger Davies the younger, subject to a yearly rent charge of £50 (with power of distress) issuing out of the last mentioned premises for R.D. the elder and Bridgett his wife for life, barring dower; after the determination of those estates and subject to the said rent charge, to the use of the first son of Roger Davies the younger and Elizabeth, to the heirs of the first son and in default of such issue to the second son, etc. (further uses in tail general); and power of appointment to R.D. the younger to charge the premises with a sum not exceeding £700 for the payment of his debts and portioning of his younger children without encumbering the jointure of Elizabeth and the yearly rent charge of £50.
