Administrative history

The Calvinistic Methodist cause in Montgomery was started in 1816. The first chapel was opened in 1824, and a new chapel was opened in Princes Street in 1885. The church had 123 members in 1913, 88 in 1935, 111 in 1955, and 77 in 1971. According to the Presbyterian Church of Wales website, the chapel is still active in July 2005.

A photocopy of a visiting card and a memorandum dated 12 March 1915, written by Elias Aeron Davies, concealed behind a tablet on the wall of Montgomery Chapel, discovered during renovations in [?1999], and replaced when the room was re-dedicated.
