1 Robert Salusbury Cotton, Watkin Williams, Thomas Griffith and John Myddelton, esq's, five of the trustees of an Act of 1769 entitled 'An Act for repairing the Road from the Town of Denbigh to the Turnpike road between Northop and Holywell and from Afonwen to the town of Mold' in cos Denb. and Flint. 2 Lewis Jones of Bronwylfa, co. Flint, gent., treasurer of the said trustees. 3 Thomas Eyton of Llangynhafal, co. Denb., yeoman. Mortgage (Assignment by 2 to 3) of the tolls, toll-houses and gates of the road specified in the said Act. Recites that at a meeting of the trustees held at Caerwys on 11 April 1769 it was ordered that five or more of the trustees could borrow upon the credit of the tolls sums of money not exceeding £200. Endorsed: assignemt of the mortgate by deed of even date by 3 above to Watkin Williams of Penbedw, co. Denb., esq.
