The manuscripts were all formerly owned by Nicholas Bennett (1823-1899) of Glanyrafon, and were sold off after his death (see Catalogue of the Glanyrafon Library, etc., For Sale by Auction ... at the Victoria Hall, Newtown, Thursday, May 3rd, 1900, lots 196-200).
