A typescript draft of 'Flames across the Tawe', with manuscript amendments, together with material concerning fires and incidents in the port of Swansea and associated shipping between the 1940s and the 1970s, especially the Atlantic Duchess tanker explosion in 1951, comprising: original official reports and correspondence; copies of press cuttings, reports, log books, diagrams, correspondence and photographs; notes and printouts by Keith Mills; and correspondence between him and a fellow researcher relating to awards issued to members of the fire service after the Lucellum fire in 1942. Also included are: copies of press cuttings relating to fires and incidents in the town of Swansea in the same period; transcripts of minutes of the Swansea Corporation in the 1860s relating to the Fire Brigade; an original typescript copy of a report by the Pembrokeshire Fire Brigade on the Esso Portsmouth fire at Milford Haven in 1960; and correspondence between Keith Mills and a number of organisations and collaborators concerning his research and permissions relating to his archive.
