Biographical history
Bu David James Williams (1870-1951) o Gaerffili, Morgannwg, yn gweithio yn y lofa cyn mynd yn ddisgybl i Ysgol Pengam. Yn 1886 enillodd ysgoloriaeth i Goleg Llanymddyfri, sir Gaerfyrddin, ac yna i Goleg Caerwrangon, Rhydychen, Lloegr. Bu'n athro yn Wolverhampton, Lloegr, cyn cael swydd prifathro Ysgol Sir Bethesda, Bethesda, sir Gaernarfon. Roedd yn flaenor yng Nghapel yr Annibynwyr ym Methesda. Bu'n gadeirydd Coleg Bala-Bangor, a lluniodd hanes y coleg, 'Hanes Coleg Bala-Bangor', a geiriadur bywgraffiadol o'r staff, a rhestri o'r myfyrwyr.
