Fitzwilliams, desirous of serving as a field surgeon in South Africa, 1900; a letter to Captain E. C. Fitzwilliams at Johannesburg relating to a kaross [a South African mantle or sleeveless jacket made of the skins of animals with the hair on], 1901; an ode (Welsh) written by G. Jones to Captain E. C. Lloyd Fitzwilliams of Cilgwyn on his return 'from the seat of war', 1902; typescript copies of two letters in the form of diaries from Duncan C. L. Fitzwilliams, a Red Cross surgeon in Romania, to his wife, 19 Nov.-6 Dec. 1916; and genealogical papers.
