Scope and content

Staying with Mr Hindi in a large bungalow about three miles from Calicut. Calicut is a large and pretty place with thick coconut trees. Have a large bedroom with five windows and a punka. Hills are about 28 miles at back of house. All start for them after dinner and ascend about 4000 yards to arrive at Rossall's bungalow. Had a monsoon on Sunday for about two hours. Tell what is done in the Richbourne case. Going out crocodile shooting now. All sorts of rare flowers that are grown in hot houses in England grow wild here.
