Acting on your orders and on the recommendations of the members of the Council, Nawab Saif al-Daulah Mir Najabat Ali Khan Bahadur Shahamat Jang was installed to the Governorship of Bengal, Bihar and Orissa provinces on an auspicious moment on Monday, 9 Zi al-Hajj, San 7, when 2 pas of the day had passed. Intizam al-Daulah, Mr Sanks, Bahadur Haibat Jang and I were present there to look after the property and wealth of the late Navab Najm al-Daulah. At the time of his installation all keys and stamps of the authority were passed on to him, the guard of Tilangas of the company was removed, and he was allowed to appoint his own guard for his safeguard
