Although the records have since their arrival at the Library been known by the name 'Ratgoed Records', it will be seen from the schedule that the records of several Merionethshire quarry companies are included in the collection. Some may be those of quarries connected with the Ratgoed Quarry Company; more likely, perhaps, some may be records of companies which were represented at different times by the same agent or agents.
Archival history
The records listed in this schedule were presented to the National Library of Wales during the Second World War, after the closure of the Ratgoed Quarry. They came from the offices of the agent of the Ratgoed Quarry Company in Machynlleth.

Donated in 1942.
