MX 17, 21: The recipe book and at least some of the letters in MX 17 appear to be the items, then in his possession, referred to in a typescript by Iolo Wyn Williams entitled 'Llyfrgell Darowen' (now in ME 9/3). Williams was related to the Richards family through his great-grandfather Richard Williams (1818-1906). Richard's daughter Mary (1855-1899), a close friend of Mary Richards, Darowen, married J. C. Evans of Bala, whose daughter (by his second wife), Margaret (d. 1965) married a Captain Norrie. In 1965 the papers were sold by Norrie to his late wife's cousin (by marriage), W. D. Williams, the father of Iolo Wyn Williams.
