Scope and content
A low cliff of sedimentary rocks with poplars and a flat valley floor visible in the far distance. The rock strata exhibit signs of differential erosion, much of it commensurate with aeolian processes. See also 4690/285.

Note
Although sequentially this image falls between one of Tierra del Fuego and one of El Calafate the arid landscape is more reminiscent of a milder climatic zone. Examination of the mount, which is inscribed 'Kyffin Williams' in ink, shows it to be held together with sticky tape. This suggests that it has been opened, the original image removed and the mount re-used to house this transparency.
