The deeds include a copy lease of the fishery and water of the river Taff from Newbridge to Pont y Stickel with liberty to erect furnaces and forges, 1763 (D232/50), consent of the commoners to the granting of a lease to Richard Rowland to build a house on Rudry Common together with the lease, p. Rudry, 1781 (D232/53-4), a lease of the two cottages under one roof called Ffunnon Taf or Taffs Well, p. Eglwysilan, 1802-3 (D232/69), a lease of the pounds of Senghennydd Subtus, and of the pasturage and herbage of Caerphilly Castle, 1824 (D232/165) and leases of the cottage called Clwyd y Gernos, later the Black Cock Inn, p. Eglwysilan, 1823-1904 (D232/104, 175-6).
