1 John ap Ievan otherwise Walter of Kington, Herefordshire, fuller. 2 John Farr of Kington, gent., and William Driver of Ameley, Herefordshire, gent. Settlement before the marriage of Roger ab Ievan, son and heir apparent of the said John ap Ievan and Margaret Farr, daughter of the said John Farr, and in consideration of £40 marriage portion, of a m. and tmt in Kington wherein the said John ap Ievan now dwells, the close called Racke Closse (1 a.) with the 'ruckes or teynters' thereupon standing, being in bor. Kington between the lands of Oliver Vaughan, gent., dec., and the lands of Phillipp Greneley on the north part and the tmt of John Scaundret in the occupation of Sibill Scaundret, widow, on the south part and stretching in length from the street and highway there on the west part to the lands of Edward Broughton, gent., and to the lands of the said Phillipp Grenely on the east part. On dorse: memorandum that the new house of John ap Ievan with the plock of ground thereto belonging do not pass by this indenture.
