Settlement, entailing on the said John and Alice for their lives and, in the event of failure of heirs legitimate, on the right heirs of the said John, moiety of lands and tenements and of corn grist (?) (bland feri) mill called mellyn Powill y meyrch, and a moiety of all those lands lying in length between a close of land called pen y ponverch up to the close called Crofte Madok, and in breadth from a river called Mahaskyn up to the enclosure (sepes) abutting upon the close of land called cloos y berth llan and cloos y garney, with two closes of land called cloos pont avell and another called cloos glace, all in the parish of Llanvrenach in the King's fee within the lordship of Penkelly and a moiety of all lands lying in breadth between the land of John ap Rosser commonly called cloos y gevilde on one side and the river called Kunvrig on the other, and in length from the land late of Hopkyn Awbrey up to the land of Richard ap Rosser and John ap Jenkin ap Gwilym; also a parcel of land in the parish of St. Mangan and in the King's fee of Penkelly formerly belonging to Llewelyn ap Madok, lying in breadth from the land of John ap John ap Jankyn up to the brook called nantgvyn, and in length from a certain brook. called Kywy up to a place called vryn y thynnoc.
