'State' of the matter with relation to the amending of 'money bills' sent from the House of Commons to the House of Lords. Contains a review of disputes between the two houses in relation to money affairs, 1662 - 1743, and of the various acts and bills submitted to the House of Lords and the decisions thereon, taken from the Journals of the House of Lords. On the cover of the book is the signature of Arthur Onslow, who was Speaker of the House of Commons, 1728-54, underneath which is the note 'This book I had from Mr Merest, Clerk Assistant to the Clerk of the Parliament'.
