It acknowledges the influences of Howell Harris and Roger Williams, as well as including details of the ministers, Sunday school and lay members associated with Danycastell. Davies describing the general historical precepts of the Presbyterian movement and in that context the disagreements over Sunday rotas and preaching methods which led to the formation of Crickhowell Evangelical Church, together with letters of resignation from the pastor and several members of Danycastell, 1976, and related papers, 1971-1979.
