History

Cymru Yfory - Tomorrow's Wales was a cross-party, cross-sector movement established in July 2004 as a response to the publication of the Richard Commission Report which recommended various changes to the structure and powers of the National Assembly for Wales, including the transfer of full law making powers in devolved areas. Cymru Yfory campaigned to call the referendum provided for in the Government of Wales Act 2006 to transfer law making power in all devolved areas, making representations to Members of Parliament, the All Wales Convention (which was established to decide whether the referendum should be called) and campaigning for a Yes vote. Cymru Yfory also campaigned on other issues such as the funding formula used to calculate the Welsh Government's budget, known as the Barnett Formula.
