(A) Warrant drawn up by John Powell, recorder, and signed by Charles James, esq., Charles Williams, and Turberville Morgan, gent., under stewards of William, Earl of Pembroke, the King's chief steward of the manor of Monmouth, parcel of the duchy of Lancaster within the hundred of Skenfrith, to their sergeant there or his deputy, for Court Leet to be held at Rochfield 13 Oct. 1629. Endorsed: The execution of this precept appears in a schedule annexed. Signed: John Roberts. (B) Jury list. (C) A list of the sub-constables, churchwardens, and surveyors of the highways in Llangattocke vibon Avell, Rockfield, St Moghans, Wonastowe, Dixton & Osbaston, and Bicknor [blank]. With a note that each constable, churchwarden, and surveyor is in default at 20s. (D-e) Presentments by a jury, endorsed 'Billa Vera'. (F-k) Presentments by the petty constables of Rockfield (two), the parish and townships of Dixton and Osbaston, St Moghans, Llangattocke vibon Avell, and Wonastow, all endorsed 'Billa Vera'. (L-m) Presentments by the overseers of the highways for Wonastow, Dixton, Llangattocke vibon Avell, Rockfield, and St Moghans, all endorsed 'Billa vera'. (O) Certificate that a way leading from Treowen to Croese y brawde previously presented to be faulty is now sufficiently repaired. (P) List of a jury to take a view for the vicar of Wonastowe and to fix bounds and mears between the parishes of Wonastowe & Rockfield, and to put the mears in their due places between the same parishes.
