A volume in the hand of J. H. Davies containing transcripts of four 'cerddi', one by Rhys y Geiriau Duon, one by Cynffon yr Esgob, and two by Thomas Edwards ('Twm o'r Nant').

Typewritten copies of 'Ymddiddan yr Enaid a'r Corff', 'Y Tri Brenin o Gwlen', and 'cywyddau' by Owain Gwynedd, Siôn Powel 'y Gwehydd o Ryd Eirin', and Gruffudd Hiraethog, taken from 'Y Piser Hir'.

An imperfect and mutilated manuscript of anonymous 'cerddi' and 'carolau', of which some are dated within the period 1736-40. There is also one English carol dated 1744.

An imperfect manuscript of 'cerddi' and 'carolau' of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, probably written for the most part by Jenkin David, Cmarch [sic], David Jones, and Evan David, Glaslwyn. The collection was compiled around the period 1765-6. The majority of the poems are anonymous, but the names of the following authors have been recorded, some in the last lines of the compositions: William Nicholas (pp. 4, 48), Thomas John (p. 16), Sion Havart (p. 41), Evan Evans ('o fydwellty yn Sir Feirionydd', p. 60), Evan Griffith (p. 74), Sion Dafydd Sion (p. 82), John Evan ab Evan, 1746 (p. 91), John David John ('o bant y moch mowr yn Llandisil (1631), p. 109). At the end of the volume are blacksmith's and other accounts from the Llandysul area, 1778 and undated, and a list of money gifts entitled 'The names of mens on my Mitting Day' (pp. 141-144). Beginning at the end is a 'halsing', 1722.

A small volume entitled 'Cell-gasgl Sion Lleyn, 1805', containing 'englynion' (chiefly epitaphs), stanzas in free metre including hymn stanzas, and one or two longer poems (e.g. 'Awdl ar Dosturi 1809' and 'Pillion i Dwm or Nant herwydd ei Lyfr, sef Ban y Byd - Creglais o Groglofft &c, 1809, Ebrill 27') by and in the autograph of John Roberts ('Sion Lleyn'). Other poets represented are Griffth Williams('Guttun Peris'), W. Elias and O[wen] Griffith. There is also a list of unfamiliar Welsh words ('Geiriau Cymraeg dieithrol yn amlwg'), with the following note: 'Hyn a gymerwyd o gasgliadau Thos Prys Esqur, Plas Iolun, a D. Ddu a S. Lleyn'. On p. 58 is the note 'Mai 11. 1812 Priodais' [see Cwrtmawr MS 510, p. 106].

The manuscript is in the hand of David Ellis, Cricieth, and was written around 1790-1. A composite volume containing transcripts of historical and literary material in the hand of Edward Williams ('Iolo Morganwg'). Pp. 1 -74 contain one of the two known reputed transcripts by Edward Williams of the supposedly variant version of the medieval Welsh Chronicle of the Princes ('Brut y Tywysogion') which is generally known as 'Brut Aberpergwm' or 'The Gwentian Brut'. The superscription on p. 1 reads 'Llyma Vrut y Tywysogion val y bu Ryfeloedd a gweithredoedd enseiliaid a Dialeddau, a Rhyfeddodau gwedi eu tynnu or hen gofion cadwedig au blyneddu'n Drefnedig gan Garadawc Llancarfan', and, according to a note at the end of the text (p. 74), the present copy was transcribed by Iorwerth ab Iorwerth Gwilym, i.e. Edward Williams, in 1790 from one of the manuscripts of the Reverend Thomas Richards, curate of Llangrallo [co. Glamorgan], who, in turn, had copied the work in 1764 from one of the manuscripts in the possession of George Williams, esq., of Aberpergwm [co. Glamorgan]. This is substantially the text that was published in The Myvyrian Archaiology of Wales . . ., vol. II, 1801, pp. 468-582, and also in Aneurin Owen (ed.): Brut y Tywysogion; the Gwentian Chronicle of Caradoc of Llancarvan . . . (London, 1863), this second publication being accompanied by an English translation. P. 89 is inscribed 'English Translation of Caradoc of Lancarvan's Annals of the Princes of Wales. By Edward Williams. 1807. Rough Copy'. The section now paginated 101-88 contains an English translation of the text found in pp. 1-74. Other items in the volume include pp. 191-208, extracts from William Warrington: The History of Wales . . . (London, 1786); 215-19, a draft copy of the last three paragraphs of the preface to The Myvyrian Archaiology . . ., vol. II, in which the text of 'Brut Aberpergwm' was published (see G. J. 'Gossodedigaetheu a Messureu y Deyrnas, Cantrevi a Chymydeu Kymry', being a list of hundreds, commotes and other geographical divisions within Wales. At the end of every division is a list of its castles.
The list of 'Cantreds and Commotes of Wales' (p. 5) agrees practically with the one in Peniarth MS 163.
