Memorandum of Agreement, 1 Jan. 1915, between the Coal Owners Association and the South Wales Colliery Winding Enginemen's Association and correspondence between the Coal Owners Association and its members relating chiefly to this Agreement, including accounts of investigations of complaints by the workmen, and inquiries by members as to the effects of the Agreement on certain cases, disputes, and refusals by workmen to sign the Agreement. Also correspondence between members of the Association, the Enginemen Wages Committee, and representatives of the workmen concerning disputes arising at various pits regarding the Agreement and their settlement. The file also includes a copy of government regulations regarding the hours of work of winding enginemen (1913), and circulars calling meetings of the joint sub-committee set up to deal with questions arising from the 1915 Agreement.
