A volume of ledger accounts for cord wood, coppice wood, timber, bark, smart hoops and poles taken from woods in a number of parishes, including Basaleg, Bedwas, Bedwellty, Betws, Henllys, Llanfaches, Llanfihangel Roggiet, Machen, Malpas, Mynyddislwyn, Newchurch, Risca, Rhydri, St Brides Netherwent, St Woolloos and Undy, as well as from Tredegar Old Park, Machen Park and Cleppa Park. Woods mentioned include ash, beech, chestnut, elm, oak, walnut. Some of the accounts are continued in AEW /2.
