The file comprises a manuscript draft dated 1949 by David Jones which includes notes for the typist on typesetting. This, combined with A7, is the nearest to the 'final' manuscript which is extant. It is written in black ink and many pages are numbered 5 A-F and 37 A-P, as well as 1-73 by David Jones. The text corresponds to the first four sections and the beginning of section V (pp. 49-61, 84-98, 110-134) of The Anathemata.
