Correspondence, 1873-1931, mainly from the descendants of the Evans and Jenkins families [Daniel Lleufer Thomas's aunt and uncle], who emigrated to America from the Cardiganshire/Carmarthenshire area, c. 1869-70 [see also D2]. The letters recount the subsequent history of these families and the members still living in various parts of America. There are also two letters from Thomas Evans and Elinor Evans to Mr and Mrs James Rees of Aberdare, together with genealogies, photographs, a wedding card, an 'at home' card, a memorial card, obituaries and newspaper cuttings of properties in America.
