The volume probably came to the donor's family through her great-great-grandfather, the Rev. Richard Bonnor Maurice Bonnor (1803-1889), Dean of St Asaph, who at the time of the 1841 Census lived at Thomas Edwards's former home, Mount Sion. The manuscript was at one time deposited at NLW (Minor Deposit 822B) but was withdrawn by Mrs. V. P. Perry, Budleigh, Devon, in January 1974.

Scope and content
A volume compiled, [c. 1790], by the Rev. Thomas Edwards of Mount Sion, Selattyn, Shropshire, rector of Llanfechain, Montgomeryshire, containing lists of incumbents for each parish in the Diocese of St Asaph, arranged mostly alphabetically by parish (pp. 1-4, 7-260), together with lists of the bishops, deans, archdeacons, prebendaries and chancellors of the diocese (pp. 261-289). The volume contains later additions by Edwards and, to about 1853, in the hand of the Rev. Richard Bonnor Maurice Bonnor.
The lists are written on rectos, often with notes inserted on the versos opposite. The volume also includes an index of parishes (pp. 540-543), notes on 'Antient Usages & Customs in North Wales' (pp. 293-295) and ecclesiastical wakes (pp. 299-302) and a poem (p. 297).
