The volume bears the names, among others of Roberd Lloyd, Garn, Llangower, and Susana Lloyd, Fachddeiliog [Llangower]. According to a note by J. H. Davies at the end, the volume is one of the Glanrafon MSS and was purchased by him after the death of Nicholas Bennett.

An imperfect composite volume of the second half of the seventeenth century containing 'englynion' mainly in Welsh but with a few in English, among them being 'Dechre Cuffessiad Hugh Llivon Clochydd Llanvfvdd' and stanzas by Gwerfyl fechan, Lewis Penllyn, and John Tvdvr; 'ymma i kalyn y pvm rhinwedd svdd ar y fervaen' ('neu Cas gan Gythravl' in a later hand); 'Carol y Genegwarth Synnwyr, Hil Brutys o droya...' by Will. Philip, 'Y Peniaith galluog ...' by Lewis Penllyn, and other free-metre poems; 'cywyddau' by Doctor Sion Kent, Sion Mowddwy, Sion Tvdvr, Mr Edmwnd Prvs, Sr. Davidd Trefor, Robert Clidro, Robin Ddv, Dafydd Lloyd, Iolo Goch, and Mredydd ab Rhys, and anonymous poems.
