Certificate under the public seal of the Bermuda Islands and with the signature of the Lieutenant Governor (Benjamin Bennett, esq.) granted to the Rev. Thomas Holland, on the departure of that gentleman from the said colony, to be exhibited by the bearer to any enemy into whose hands the vessel, in which the clergyman is about to return to Europe, may chance to fall. The certificate declares that Governor Bennett has distinguished himself by humanity to prisoners, subjects of the King of France, brought into his island.
