Original bundle of clients’ bills and draft bills, including of individuals relating to wills, mortgages, sales of property etc., of parishes appealing against removals, and of land and tithe owners relating to the commutation of the tithes of p’s Caron, Llanrhystud and Trefilan. Bills for criminal actions in the quarter sessions relating to larceny, highway robbery and housebreaking. The bill for Sibbald v. Roderick in the Queens Bench relating to cattle distrained by the overseers of Llanbadarn Odwyn to enforce payment of rates, 1838-1839. The bill of the undersheriff of Cardiganshire relating to a meeting of the county to congratulate Victoria and Prince Albert on their escape from the attempt on their lives by Edward Oxford, 1840. Messrs Colley, Smith & Co’s bill, and John Davies of Liverpool’s bill, is written on the back of copies of printed estimates of the expence of maintaining the Aberystwyth district of turnpike trust for the year 1839.
