A commonplace book which belonged to the Reverend Dr. William Davies of Froodvale [Ffrwd-y-fâl, parish of Cynwyl Gaeo, co. Carmarthen] in 1857, which passed to the Reverend Dr. David Lloyd, Classical Professor and Principal at the Presbyterian College, Carmarthen, whose widow presented it to George Eyre Evans. The volume includes: a record of the churches and chapels other than Highgate, Whitchurch, at which George Eyre Evans preached between 1889 and 1901; an account of some of the original dissenting congregations within twenty miles of Stourbridge; a bibliography of chapel histories and monographs for England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales; a list of the monthly meetings of Protestant dissenting ministers of Warwickshire and neighbouring counties, 1782-1855; a list of churches and chapels visited by George Eyre Evans; notes on ministers of the Presbyterian Chapel, Whitchurch, co.
