George Allen & Unwin was a British publishing company formed in 1911 when Sir Stanley Unwin purchased a controlling interest in George Allen & Co [founded 1871]. Poetry Wales Press, which would later adopt the trading name of Seren Books, was founded in 1981 by Cary Archard. Based in Bridgend, Seren are an independent publisher specialising in Anglo-Welsh literature
Poetry Wales is a triannual poetry magazine published in Bridgend. Founded by Welsh literary editor, journalist, translator and poet Meic Stephens in 1965 and now published by Seren, it is edited by Zoë Brigley (Wikipedia (paraphrased)).
