The volume bears the name of Peter B. Williams, Llanelly, 1820, and on the fly-leaf is the following memorandum: 'May 9th 1801. Mem. The Revd. E. Williams gave me a draft on Mr. Price of Bailey Vicar dated June 8th 1801 for £20-0-0 which I promise to account for Thos. Williams'.

Inset is a letter from Rice Rees, Llandovery, to [ ] Williams (writer regrets being unable to help an old friend but it was impossible for him to reach Caernarvonshire to serve the following Sunday; writer intends going to Radnorshire the following week; college vacation and the consecration of the chapel). Some of the pages have been sewn at the top and the bottom and contain fishing flies.
