Scope and content

Denbigh / Barry / Cambridge / Menai Bridge / Llanarth. He would be grateful if EMH could send a copy of an article by David Daniel [D. R. Daniel] on William Thomas of Four Crosses, both of whom are old friends. J. G. D. also encloses a copy of his translation of a poem 'Huw Hwre' (Jens Hurra) by Jeppe Aakjaer, together with notes on the famous Danish writer. He was melancholy after reading his article in the Post on the old ships, and recalls wandering about the Liverpool and Birkenhead docks as a boy. The remaining letters are described individually in the former schedule, 'E. Morgan Humphreys Papers, A List', available in hard copy at NLW. English and Welsh.
