A volume lettered 'Index to Deeds' containing chronological abstracts by J. H. Davies of selected deeds and documents, 1573-1778, in the Cwrtmawr library (see the typewritten schedule of Cwrtmawr Deeds in the National Library of Wales).

Bibliographical notes mainly of Welsh interest and chiefly by Walter Davies; a schedule of deeds and papers received by John Vaughan, Penmaen Dyfi, February 6, 1765, from the executrix of John Nanney, Maesypandy, etc.

The series comprises papers relating to the letting of property owned by the estate, including leases, draft and copy leases and notices to quit.

Most of these deeds and papers are in their original bundles, although a very few are loose deeds that have been bundled together for convenience. Most bundles are title deeds, although some might be better described as family deeds, and a number of bundles of deeds will be found with the family papers (Tredegar P) rather than here.
