Received your letter regarding the complaint of cruelty lodged by Mirza Nur Ali against me and your annoyance at such a report as well as asking me to pay the overdue amount from Hoogli and the wages of the Company employees to Divan Nand Kumar as soon as possible. My dear Sir, I have not seen Mirza Nur Ali Beg for a long time as I had no business to do so. I am surprised at the baseless accusations he has levied against me. As far as your anger regarding the overdue amount from Hoogli is concerned, I have already written to you a number of times explaining my situation and if you feel angry after this I cannot do much about it. It will be better if you could send someone to investigate the allegations of Mirza Nur Ali Beg regarding the payment of wages to the Company employees.
