Bangor diocesan schools,

Papers compiled by Albert Owen Evans, inspector of schools for the diocese of Bangor, relating to religious instruction in schools of the Bangor Diocesan Board of Education. They include returns to a questionnaire issued in Caernarvonshire, February, 1908; printed analysis, issued by the Caernarvonshire Education Committee, of denominational religious instruction in diocesan and other schools in Caernarvonshire, with marginal notes, together with copies of the syllabus used in specifed schools; an undated analysis by A. A survey of the state of education in, and around, the parishes of Castle Caereinon, Llanfair Caereinion and Manafon, co. Montgomery, carried out, December 1846, by representatives of local nonconformist denominations under the supervision of the Reverend Robert David Thomas ('Iorthryn Gwynedd', 1817-88), minister of Penarth Congregational chapel, Llanfair Caereinion. Memorials on the survey were submitted to the Commissioners appointed by Government to enquire into the state of education in Wales (see 544, below).
