System of arrangement
Arranged into three series: AGO 1, the collection books of the Glamorgan agricultural estate, 1922-1939, to which the collection book of 1846-1852 and two cottage rent collection books of 1901-1928 have been added for convenience. This series ends in Jan. 1939 (AGO 1/6, p. 37), when the balance is 'Transferred to Cardiff folio 71', by which is meant AGO 3/9, p. 79. There is a separate series of Glamorgan town estate collection books, 1925-1954 (AGO 2). Between AGO 2/3 and 2/4, this series uses the remainder of AGO 1/6 for the period May 1941-April 1942. A series of Cardiff estate collection books, 1925-1940 (AGO 3), is also available. This series ends when AGO 3/9 was filled in April 1940, and continues in AGO 2/3, from which point there is just the one series of collection books for the whole of Glamorgan.
