Roger B: Clough, Periglor Corwen: Parchwr a Choleddwr- y [sic] Iaith Gymraeg a'i Barddoniaeth' containing 'Englynion i'r Gell Gymmysg a'i Pherchenog' by Robt. Davies, Nantglyn, Y Parch. Roger B. Clough, Morgan Davies, (?) Nannau, Peter Lloyd, Gwnodl, Thomas Edwards, Corwen and Thomas Jones, Corwen; a series of 182 'Pennillion' [i.e. 'Hen Benillion']; a few 'Beddargraffiadau' and 'englynion' or other items of verse, some dated, by various poets including the following: Robert Davies, Nantglyn, Lewis Morris, Edward Evans, Gwyddelwern, Hugh Moris, Griffith James, John Roberts, Hersedd, Morus ap Robert o'r Bala, [John Jones] 'Ioan Tegid', Y Parchedig Walter Davies, Y Parchedig Roger B. Clough, John Jones, Glan y Gors, Thomas Gwynedd, William Edwards, Ysgeifiog, John Owen, Holywell and Griffith Williams, 'Gutyn Perys' [sic]. The volume is probably in the autograph of the Reverend Roger Butler Clough (1759-1833), vicar of Corwen from 1811 until his death. There are a number of blank folios after p. 68 but on the final page are four lines of verse described as being 'on a window at the White Horse Inn Holyw[ell]'.

A miscellany entitled Y Gell ddiddan 1811, containing poetry in Welsh by Huw Morus, Roger Cyffin, Sion Tudur and many others and also a few English poems; also included are some prose items, including a transcript of part of chapter sixteen of Charles Edwards: Y Ffydd Ddi-ffuant ... and a copy of a letter from a midshipman on board the Charlotte during an expedition to Algiers in 1816. Much of the manuscript is in the hand of John Jones (Shaci Tynllwyn), Llangwyrfon, curate, 1813, of Llanarmon and Llangadwaladr, Denbighshire.

The file comprises a grant, 1575, by Ellis ap Thomas Vaughan of Llys Waen to Robert ap Thomas ap Howell ap Robyn, of Y Garth Lloyd and other lands in the townships of Tybrith and Mathebrwd, amongst the lands of Thomas ap Howell ap Robyn, which Ellis's father, Thomas Vaughan ap Robert had recovered against David Pryce, alias David Lloyd ap Robert ap Rees. The property may have been part of the lands mentioned in the marriage settlement of a later Robert ap Thomas of Mathebrwd, 1654, or it may have belonged to Llwyn Gronw; the connection is not clear.
