Annual reports and chairs' reports

56 Group/56 Group Wales annual reports, 1961-1998, and Group chairs' reports, 2010-2011, together with related correspondence, photocopies press reports/reviews, chairman's agendas, secretary's covering letters, and a discussion paper by Group chairman Arthur Giardelli. The Group annual reports for 1983-1984 and 1991-1992 are duplicated. Kept in a separate archival envelope but included in this folder are: Correspondence, 1992, 1994, 1998, relating to the receipt of Group annual reports by various Welsh bodies; a circular, 1987, to Group members from Group secretary Mary Griffiths; two postcards, 1997-1998, to Group secretary Bob Weir from art historian and author David Fraser Jenkins; and mailing lists for Group annual reports, 1987-1993, 1996/97. Some folios are annotated by Group secretary Mary Griffiths and others.

And Our Faces, My Heart, Brief As Photos

A short experimental work whose title and inspiration was taken from an anthology of poetry and prose by art critic and novelist John Berger. Incorporating song and film, the production was a collaboration between Earthfall and the Welsh Independent Dancers and Man Act theatre companies. Items comprise printed performance ticket; publicity notice; and creative notes.

An Indescribable Pleasure (Un Plaer Indescriptible)

Detailed plot synopsis of script by David Evans titled An Indescribable Pleasure, translated from the original script of Ignasi P. Ferré, Joan Marimón and Lluís Arcarazo titled Un Plaer Indescriptible; together with covering letter, notes on the scriptwriters and producer and material relating to the 1991 San Sebastian Film Festival.

An Execrably Tasteless Farewell to Viscount No

Material relating to Nigel Jenkins' controversial poem An Execrably Tasteless Farewell to Viscount No, written on the death of George Thomas, Viscount Tonypandy and former Speaker of the House of Commons. The material comprises a photocopy of the poem published on the front page of the Guardian, 21 October 1997; mixed media response to the poem; and supportive correspondence sent to Nigel Jenkins, the correspondents including Jenkins' friend and Swansea City councillor Ioan Richard.
