Correspondence and papers

The series consists of correspondence and papers, 1855-1955, concerning Dr Thomas Jones. They include miscellaneous personalia, 1855-1955, letters to Thomas Jones, 1908-1955, and from him, 1922-1955, including to Eirene Jones/White, Tristan Jones, John White and other members of the family; printed and typescript material, 1925-1954, and other miscellaneous papers.

Correspondence

Letters sent to Roland Mathias, together with a number of draft letters and replies by him; some are also addressed to Molly Mathias. They consist of letters from family and friends, and those which relate to his professional career as teacher and headmaster, including some regarding applications for posts and testimonials by, and for, Roland Mathias. In addition, numerous letters pertain to his literary career, in particular his work with The Anglo-Welsh Review and the Dock Leaves Press (including some statements of income and expenditure and balance sheets of the Dock Leaves Press), and as a member of the Welsh Arts Council and Yr Academi Gymreig.

General meeting minutes

The series comprises minutes of meetings of the CPRW General Committee and annual general meetings, dealing mainly with administrative matters relating to organisation, finance, election and functions of officers, but also discussing some key planning and environmental issues in North Wales.
