Some fifty letters, 1875-1889, to Elias Hughes, Colwyn Bay, co. Denbigh. Many are replies to invitations to preach at Engedi Calvinistic Methodist church, Colwyn Bay, or to preside at local eisteddfodau but also included are two letters (ff. 14, 19) concerning the injuries sustained by Elias Hughes during the tithe disturbance near Mochdre in 1887 (see Report of an inquiry as to disturbances connected with the levying of tithe rent-charge in Wales (1887), p. 102). Most of the letters, 1892-1916, are devoted to the writer's researches, writings and editing of Wales, Y Llenor, Heddyw and Cymru for which he solicits contributions from the pen of J. H. Davies. Several letters refer to the death of Thomas Edward Ellis in April 1899, the preparation of his biography and the erection of a memorial statue at Bala. Others relate to J. H. Davies's application for the position of Registrar of the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, and some to Edwards's duties as Chief Inspector of Schools in Wales.

An album compiled by John Lloyd James ('Clwydwenfro'), Congregational minister at March, Cambridgeshire, etc. The volume is almost wholly of Congregational interest, and relates for the most part to Glandwr Church, Pembrokeshire, and to the activities of John Davies ('Siôn Gymro' otherwise 'Siôn Llethi' otherwise 'Ioan Llethi'), who was ordained minister of the church in 1827.
